It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown |
The snow has melted, flowers are blooming, and the Easter Beagle is on his way! At least, according to the ever-trusting Linus Van Pelt. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, and the rest of the Peanuts gang are a little skeptical. "Good grief!" crabby Lucy says. "There's no Easter Beagle!" In the vein of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, this Easter classic, based on the television special, features the beloved characters created more than 50 years ago by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. Peppermint Patty is perennially aggravated with Marcie, Sally is still lovelorn yet litigious ("Never trust a man with a blanket," she fumes. "Get me my lawyer!"), and Charlie Brown is disappointed once again in his holiday hopes. The story may be better suited to television, but the adaptation will please fans who long for a taste of the bittersweet comic strip about miniature philosophers, idealists, cynics, and a canine dreamer. |

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown |
Every year, as the leaves start turning gold and the night air gets chilly, children all over the world begin dreaming of the Great Pumpkin... Well, at least one faithful child does. Poor Linus. While Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, and the gang make preparations for trick-or-treating and Halloween parties, this stalwart believer risks their ridicule to write his annual letter to the mystical orange orb, in hopes that this year he'll be able to catch sight of his hero as he rises from the most sincere pumpkin patch around to fly through the air with his bag of toys for all the children. For over 35 years, children have eagerly anticipated Halloween, not just for the tricks and treats, but because they know their favorite television special will be aired. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is based on this TV program, so now fans can enjoy the Halloween antics of the Peanuts gang any time. |
Trick or Treat, Great Pumpkin |
This interactive picture book features pop-outs, holograms, a lift-the-flap, and electronic sound effects. When Linus tries to spread the word about the Great Pumpkin to everyone in the neighborhood, he has door after door slammed in his face. On Halloween night, only Sally Brown accompanies him to the pumpkin patch to await the Great Pumpkin's arrival. |
Happy Halloween, Great Pumpkin! |
Better than candy, Happy Halloween, Great Pumpkin! is a great gift-giving opportunity, coinciding as it does with the Great Pumpkin TV special, the most popular of the Peanuts cartoon specials. |
Happy Halloween! |
Halloween can be pretty scary when you're waiting in a dark, spooky pumpkin patch. Will the Great Pumpkin arrive? If you're a believer, you will stick it out.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving |
It's Thanksgiving time! Peppermint Patty invites the gang over for dinner at Charlie Brown's, even though all he can make is cold cereal and toast! With the help of Snoopy and Woodstock, Charlie Brown braves the kitchen -- but can he make a meal everyone will be grateful for? Celebrate with the Peanuts gang as they give thanks in this adaptation of the classic television special. |
Duck, Here Comes Another Day! |
Join the Peanuts gang as they celebrate Thanksgiving without Snoopy, who goes to the desert to be with his brother Spike, and to meet a cute little coyote Spike knows. This moment of fraternal harmony and potential romance is upset, however, when Snoopy finds out that coyotes eat bunnies for Thanksgiving! Meanwhile, Peppermint Patty heralds fall by introducing Marcie to the joys of football, with memorable results. These witty strips were collected from 1974, 1975, and 1976.
